Terms of Service

1. General Agreement
By bringing a vehicle to JK Wrench Works (“Shop,” “we,” “our”) and authorizing any repair, diagnostic, or maintenance service (“Services”), the customer (“Customer,” “you,” “your”) agrees to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all work orders, estimates, invoices, and repairs performed by the shop.

2. Estimates & Authorization

- All estimates are based on the vehicle’s visible condition at the time of inspection and are subject to change after diagnostics or teardown.
No work will begin without customer authorization, which may be written, electronic, or verbal and documented by the shop.
Customer acknowledges that additional issues may be discovered once repairs begin, and additional costs may be necessary.
- Estimates may contain parts substitutions based on availability (OEM, aftermarket, remanufactured, used, etc.).

3. Diagnostics & Inspection Fees
- Inspection appointments: A flat fee of $100 applies if scheduled outside of another service. If customer chooses to have the recommended repairs or service completed through JK Wrench Works, the full inspection fee will be credited towards the total cost of the service.
- Diagnostics: Charged $100 per hour. If diagnostics are estimated to exceed one hour, the customer will be notified and charged accordingly.
- Both inspection and diagnostic fees cover time spent testing, inspecting, scanning or disassembling components.
- Diagnostic results do not guarantee a specific repair outcome, especially if multiple systems contribute to the issue.
- Diagnostics may require teardown that cannot always be reversed without additional labor.

4. Labor Rates, Parts, & Special-Order Items
- Labor is billed at the Shop’s posted rate: $100/hour
- Parts may be OEM, aftermarket, remanufactured, used, or specialty parts depending on availability and Customer preference.
- Special-order parts may require a non-refundable deposit.
- Parts returnability is governed by manufacturer or supplier policy.

5. Customer-Supplied Parts
No warranty of any kind is provided on customer-supplied parts.
- Customer-supplied parts may increase labor time or cause delays.
- The shop is not responsible for improper fitment, defects, failure, or consequential damage caused by customer-supplied components.
